So a few weeks ago Ryan started preschool. Lets just say he LOVES it. He is going with his cousin Macy to the BYU preschool. Everyday he wakes up and asks if it is preschool day. Days that he does not have it he is so sad. It makes me happy that he is so happy. It makes it worth how much it cost just to see him loving it. It is also wonderful because he goes 4 days a week and is in the afternoon just like Preston with Kindergarten. So on the way home Parker falls asleep and I have about 2 hours before they start coming home from school. You would think that this time would be used for actually doing something productive, but yet most days it is used to take a nap and I so do not feel guilty about it.
About a week ago my brother got a hold of a boat and invited the boys and I out on the lake. So we jumped at the chance. Sadly Korey could not get out of work and I had to take the boys by myself. I was a little nervous but I am so glad we went. The boys had a blast. At first Ryan was a little nervous and just wanted to go back to the shore to feed the ducks. But not my McKay & Preston, they are rock stars and went out on the tube with no fear. They first went out together and then they each wanted to try it alone. It was a small tube and defiantly worked better alone. When Preston was out there he is so little and was just holding on and flying every where it was so funny to watch, he would just keep doing thumbs up to go faster and faster. We were laughing so hard because he is such a nut and a dare devil. McKay was a little more on the safer side at first but once he got a hang of it he was a champ too. I tried to take Parker on it and the dang thing is just not meant for two people and we kept almost tipping so are ride lasted about 10 seconds, then he was done. Ryan did not want to even touch the tube. But after awhile he did warm up and started jumping into the "big pool" as he would like to call it. We had a great time the only thing that could have made it better was if Korey was there. Thanks Jason for taking us out the boys loved it! The boys enjoying a ride!
Jason and his girls! Not sure if Alice is loving it or not?
Taking our turns on the tube!
Swimming in the crystal clear waters of Utah Lake:)
Parker gave in and let the rocking boat put him to sleep!
The other night we took the boys to see Iron Man at the Scera Shell. McKay invited his buddy Evan, then we packed the van with blankets and pillows and made a big bag a popcorn and headed to the show. We thought that with the movie not starting until 9pm that the little boys would just fall asleep shortly after it started. That was not the case. They were way to into the movie to fall asleep. It is sad that my little boys will sit more still for an action movie than a cartoon movie. What have I done to these sweet little boys? It was a good night and surprisingly they were not even that grumpy the next day at church.
This year has been so much fun at the pool. We got some punches for the Scera Pool & then got season passes to 7 Peaks. It is amazing how these things are so much easier now that Parker is two. The boys all love the water and we would go a couple times a week between the two places. But I always would take the camera and then we would get bust playing and I would forget to take pictures. But I got some the other day of McKay, Preston, & Korey jumping off the diving board. We are hoping the weather will be good Monday and that we can go to 7 Peaks one last time before they close so I will have to try and get some more pictures of the boys then.
Look at the skill of my 5 year old!!!
These are Ryan showing me how brave he is by going under the water!
So I now have 2 out of my 4 boys in school. Preston started Kindergarten about a week ago & he is loving every minute of it. He thinks it is so cool that he gets to go to the same school that his big brother goes too. He thinks it is even greater that he gets to walk home with all the big boys. He is learning so much and loves to come home and tell me all about it. He has already made some great friends and is so glad that he knows some of the kids in his class from our old ward. I cannot believe how fast time goes. I swear he should still be this little boy. I hope he is this excited about school for the next 12 years.
