Boys Pictures

I have decided after getting fun family pictures the past few years that I so do not like school pictures. I never hang them up, they cost a lot, and the boys always look goofy. So when the time rolled around for them to be done I decided not to have the boys get them. I bought the class one so they could look back and remember who was who. Then I had the boys get there pictures done by a friend that I use to work with & she did a great job. It was a really yucky day but the storm seemed to stop long enough to get the pictures taken. To bad McKay & Parker were not in the mood to get there pictures taken. But they seemed to work out anyway. Looking back I do not think Parker has ever smiled when we have done pictures. Good thing he is so cute so it is OK that he does not smile. I am so glad that I went with these instead of the school ones. Thanks Jill!!!

Halloween

Halloween was a fun day. To start we celebrated it on Saturday since it fell on a Sunday. I started the day by running my first 5K. It was actually a lot of fun. I went with my Mother-In-Law & Sister-In-Law. Not that we ran together, but we did go together and left together. I was very nervous before the race thinking I was going to be the last person to finish the race because I am so slow. But yea I was not. I actually finished and was right in the middle. I am very excited to run my next one on Thanksgiving!!! Then we all went out to lunch. Gotta love some soup after running a hard race. After that we got the kids all ready and drove down to visit my Dad and do a little Tick-Or-Treating at some stores & such! Then we had my whole family come over for pizza & it was off to walk the neighborhood. Well the weather had other ideas & it totally down poured on us. We called for some rides home & all went home to dry off. After awhile the rain stopped and my boys wanted to get back out. But all the costumes were drenched. So they got into the box of costumes & squeezed into some old ones. We got changed just in time for us to hit my Brothers Trunk-Or-Treat. Then we cruised around the neighborhood a little more & it was off to Grandma Kathy's to warm up with some hot cocoa. All in all it was a fun filled day & we still have a huge bowl of candy to prove it. Now I will post the one and only picture from the day!

We did go to a couple of parties this year which got Korey & I to dress up & I do have to say it was kind of fun to dress up. Korey Loves his costume! So here is a family picture from one of the parties we went to.

Ryans Concert

Ryan's class put on a little performance for us after the school parade. Nothing is cuter than a bunch of 5 year old signing songs, plus they were signing the cutest songs little kids could sing. Gotta love the YMCA, & the peanut butter song! I think he was the best part of the show:)

School Parade

It is always a highlight of Halloween to go and watch the kids parade around the school halls in there costumes. I love seeing how creative kids are, and how many parents get into it too:) It makes me kind of sad to think that this is McKay's last Halloween at Scera Park. Next year it will be Jr High. Parker feel asleep right before the parade started so I did not get any pictures of him watching. But he did look cute as a dragon!!!

School Pumpkins

Every year the school lets the kids bring pumpkins to school. I love that my boys get excited about doing creative things. This year it was fun to see them come up with the ideas and find just the right pumpkins to g with there idea. Parker had to get in on the picture taking too. Even though it is not his pumpkin & he did do one. One afternoon while the boys were at school we got out stickers and he decorated his. But like I said in a earlier post I was horrible at taking pictures this Halloween!

Here is Preston with an awesome Haunted House that he also made!!!

Carving Pumpkins

We get together every year and carve pumpkins with my family. The kids always love hanging out with there cousins & it is always a lot more fun to do it as a group. I am the worst Mom I did not even get a picture of the finished project. This year Halloween seemed so crazy and it went by so fast. I swear I missed half the things we did even though I was there. But I did get some pictures while we worked on them. I thought they turned out super cute and they kids did a great job. We still have to fight them to take the guts out, but if they want one they have to do the dirty work too! I let the boys pick put there pumpkins from a house that sales them every year. This year Parker picked out a really bumpy one. It was a cute pumpkin. Well when we went to carve it, it was impossible to cut through the thick crust. I finally gave up & took the thing home were I took out Korey's drill and the biggest bit I could find and I drilled holes in it to make the face:)It turned out really cool. I think I might try that again next year, it was a lot faster!!!

McKay's Photo Shoot

McKay had a project for school & had many different option for this project. He decided to do photography. So I let him use my camera & take some pictures of his family. I do not have a timer on my camera so for the ones he is in I had him set up the shot. He put the other kids were he wanted them & then took the camera and focused it then he jumped in the picture and I pushed the button. Then he got online and made it into a collage of pictures. His title was "Together as a Family we can do anything!" I thought it would be fun to throw the pictures up because most of them turned out really cute! Good Job Son!!!

Grandma's Pumpkins

Every Halloween my MIL makes the boys a really fun decorative pumpkin! They love them and look forward to seeing what fun idea she will come up with next. This year she out did herself once again & bought the fake pumpkins and had each boy pick out a design and she then carved them. The boys were so excited about the way they turned out. She even got us the fake candles. They look so awesome. I love that I can put them away and then next year we can us again. Thanks again Kathy they are so cool!!!

Can you guess which boy picked out which design?

Trafalga

My great Mother-In-Law bought us our Christmas presents early and they are a gift that will keep on giving the whole year long!!! She got us a pass that we can use at Trafalga & 7 Peaks, plus we can go to the Owls games, & the Flash games. The boys have been having so much fun at Trafalga. We have gone a few times to golf and drive slick cars and just to have fun. They love the Laser Tag & the Bumper Boats. I am way excited to go to 7 Peaks in the summer. The boys are big enough that they have a lot of fun there. The last time we went to Trafalga we got there cousins to come with us & I decided to snap of few pictures of the fun!!!
