Be Aware

FYI~ I just updated our blog which was a long time coming with 6 new post. I do not expect people to read them all. But you know it is kind of for my own good to help me remember what we did and when we did things. Thanks for checking in on us!!!

Preschool Program

Today Preston and Ryan had there Preschool Program. It was fun to watch them sing and do the little movements to the song. I think it helped them both being in preschool together this year. Deep down they really do love each other. I will have to see if I can figure out how to download a clip form our video camera and add it to another post for all of your viewing pleasures. But until then you can just enjoy some fun pictures that highlighted the event.

Ryan is 4

Holy Cow!!! My little man Ryan is 4. Sorry we had a crazy day yesterday but I wanted to let Ryan know how much we love him and how happy we are that he is in our family. He came as a surprise at first but I could not imagine our little family with out him. He is such a sweet kid(when he wants to be). He has a great love of life and wants to do everything he can everyday. He loves to help me with whatever I am doing and wants to be in the middle of everything his older brothers are doing. He keeps us really busy but I would not want it any other way. We love you RY RY!!! We hope you had a great and happy Birthday.

~Here he is at 1 month old~

For his Birthday he wanted to go mini golfing and then to the popcorn place. After that we had the family over for a little cake and ice cream. He got some great stuff and had a great time. Thanks everyone for coming and celebrating with us.

~Here are some fun highlights from the day!!!~

~This is from Mini Golf~

Every year for there Birthday we let them go to the store and pick out a cake they want. They think it is so fun to get a cool cake. Plus I get to have them put the whip cream frosting on it. I decided I should try to be more domestic and make a fun cake for Ryan's Birthday. I found this cool Scooby Doo pan on line and thought I would give it a try. Well by the time I bought all the thing to decorate it and then the pan. I think it is cheaper to buy one at the store. It is also a heck of a lot easier. But I do think I did an OK job considering this is my first one. Plus Ryan thought it was so cool & he is all that matters. I did cheat and still got the whip cream frosting. Did you know that grocery stores bakery will sale it to you!

~Right out of the oven~

~Done frosting it 2 hours later~

100th POST

Wow I never thought I would make it to 100. But WAHOOO here it is the 100th post. I do not know what to say. Except thanks to all who like to read about us and that like to leave us fun little comments. We are always up to some good comments. I feel as though I am accepting an award for this. So I hope I did not forget anyone and know that we love you all. Thanks from "The Larsen Boyz"

Coutny Fair

For the final project of 4th grade the kids had to pick a County in Utah and do a report on it. Then they had a day were the parents came to school and could see all of the kids display their reports. I do have to say that I was a little bit of a slacker on this project. We had plenty of time to prepare for this but of course McKay and I did not start on it until a few days before it was due. I have to remind myself that he is getting older which means the projects are getting harder and there is a lot more to them then there use to. But he did it. He got it done & turned in on time. It was a neat report to do. I even learned a lot about Emery County and now I want to take one of our next family trips there to do all the fun things we learned about. McKay's favorite thing he learned was that Emery County has the most collection of Allosaurus(?spelling)bones ever found. He thought that was way cool. I have yet to see the grade but I am sure he got an A!!!

~Here he is with his project~

Before we got to go to the classes and see the reports all of the 4th graders did a little performance with some fun songs and some cool facts about Utah. It is always neat to get all the kids together and see how they have all grown since they were in kindergarten. They are getting so big and growing so fast. Before we know it, it will be Jr High.

Spring Break

The week after Easter was Spring Break. We had plans to go to Moab with my Sister but as time got closer we felt like we just did not have enough money to go. So we stayed home and found a few fun things to do in town. We got Korey to take a few days off and to come hang out with us. Which always makes everything a lot more fun. We took the boys out to Lehi to the indoor pool one day and then out to lunch. After lunch we made a quick stop at the Dr for Preston who had been sick with a weird fever for over a week. Then we made another quick stop at the hospital to have Preston's blood drawn(a whole post on its own). He is fine now his blood work came back weird but they put him on some meds and the fever finally broke and he has been fine ever since. Then it was off to home. Another day during that week we took the kids to see the Monster VS. Aliens movie and then to dinner at the "popcorn place"(Wingers}. Then we meet up with my brother & his family for a little bowling. The kids loved it they had a lot of fun as did we. But let me just warn you that it is not cheap to take the whole family for a night of bowling. We played 2 games and then with rented shoes. It was a nice chunk of change. But oh well the boys had fun. McKay's only complaint was that Preston beat him & of course that day Parker did not have a nap and was a little on edge. Her are few fun pictures from the game.

~I want everyone notice the form that all 4 of my boys have~

Easter!

So I wanted to write about Easter. I always say it is better late then never. We had a good Easter filled with a lot of fun Easter Egg Hunts. The 1st one we went to was with SIL Molly her mortgage company does a big one over at the Scera Park. They had great prizes. Even though there were a lot of people there they had so much stuff out that it seemed like everyone walked away feeling like they got stuff. My kids were all happy with there stuff.

~Here they are after the race~

Then it was on to the next one. Our Home Teacher & his wife who is also the lady that does music time, have an Easter Egg Hunt at there place every year and were so kind to invite us over for the fun. They go all out. They had eggs with money inside and eggs that were worth all kinds of cool prizes at the end of the race. They also had an egg that Preston found that you had to have a egg rolling race and the winner of that race got a cool prize too. It was a lot of fun and they too had so much stuff hidden that the kids walked away very happy.

Here is Preston in the Egg Race!!!

Then it was on to the next hunt. Every year Molly's Step Mom Kim(Kimmy Wimmy as the boys so sweetly call her)puts on a huge hunt at the mortuary. There is a huge field out front and the kids just go crazy. This year it was raining so we voted to do it inside. Everyone that comes brings a few bags of candy and then Kim does cute little gift bags for each kid with there name on it along with her own bags & bags of stuff. Needless to say the kids baskets were over flowing from the stuff they found there. My nephew and I went over early to help hide the candy. But we soon ran out of room to hide stuff and were just chucking things on the floor all the way down the hall and you had to watch were you stepped or you were stepping on candy.

In between all of this we did find time to color eggs. The boys took a long time with each egg to make sure it turned out just right. Then on Easter morning when I was cracking some to make deviled eggs I thought the boys were going to kill me. They were so mad that I would break there works of art.

Then later that night we went to BBQ at my Mothers house were the kids had a fun time just hanging out with cousins and eating. For some reason I did not do pictures of Easter morning. But it was nice morning the Bunny did not bring much candy since we got to much with all the hunts. But the boys got some fun things for the pool and for outside. It was a great weekend and the boys had a great time.

Feed The Birds

So the other day while I was out shopping a saw some cute bird feeders. I have always wanted bird feeders, I thought it would be fun to watch them out a window while I do the dishes. So I bought 2, one is a hummingbird feeder and the other is a some kind of seed bird feeder. I am not really sure what bird it will attract but I am very excited to see what happens.
The hummingbird feeder is getting a lot of use. There seems to be hummingbirds flying in & out of that thing all the time. The boys love to watch for them. I put both of them up in front of our sliding glass door so as we are in the kitchen doing stuff we can all see them. It has been a fun little investment. I have high hopes that soon the other feeder will start to get used too.

P.S. Just so you know not my photos. My camara is still having issues. I am hoping to get a new one soon:)

I so like this guy I would buy a CD of his. The last song he did ROCKED. I have never been a fan of that song until now. But I have a feeling that with the way reality TV is going that Adam will win. I swear ever show that I have watched this season(YEA FOR DVR)the wrong person has won. I keep saying I am done, but yet I keep watching! Everybody vote for Kris next week!!!

7 YEARS!!!

So today is our 7th anniversary. I cannot believe it 7 years! (REALLY?) I do not feel old enough to have been married that long let alone have 4 kids. Time has gone by so fast. It seems just like yesterday we were in our cute little basement apartment with just McKay. It has been a great 7 years, I have the most amazing husband who puts up with all my crap & loves me no matter what. He even likes my family and puts up with all the crazy things they do. I am a very bad wife, this day has seemed to sneak up on me without me even noticing. I was gone over the weekend to my niece's baby shower and then I had to work tonight. So we did not get to do anything special. But of course my sweet hubby showed up with Beautiful flowers when he got home from work. I of course had nothing in return. I did try to make up for it. On my way home I had to stop at the store to get some pull ups and I found a little gift for him that I give to him when I got home from work. We are hoping to get away this weekend at least on a date. Thank you Korey for all you do for me and for loving me so much! You are the greatest. I know the next 7 years will be just as great. I LOVE YOU!!!
