Summer Fest

When we got home from Moab it was raining and we were so sad because we thought that there would be no Orem Summer Fest. What is summer with out a little summer fest. It always seems to bring out the finest of people. Which does not say much about us because we look forward to going every year. Well the rain stopped and the sun came out about an hour before the parade was about to start. So we headed over. After the parade we went to the church to set up our spot for the fireworks. I have to say that I think Orem has the best firework show all summer. Her is our crazy crew watching the parade. You just never know who is going to show up.

Moab

This past weekend we had planned a family camp out with my family. As the time got closer more and more people kept bailing on us. Soon it was my Mom and my Brothers family. The morning we were suppose to leave we checked the weather and it looked yucky the whole time we were suppose to be gone. So we checked other places around Utah that were not to far of a drive. Moab looked as if it was to have nice weather the whole weekend. So we finished packing and headed out. Since we changed spots at the last minute no one came with us. It was actually kind of fun to just have our little family together. I was nervous the kids would get bored without there cousins there to entertain them. But the boys all got along really well and had a lot of fun together. We decided to stay at a KOA campground which we have never done before. It had its good and bad things about it. The good things were the pool, showers, flush toilets. The bad was how tiny the campsites are. We felt as if we were sharing one site with everyone else in the campground. The day we got there we just hung out and set up camp. Then Korey took the boys swimming while I made dinner. The next day we woke up ate & headed to the Arches. It was so pretty & the weather could not have been better. It was over casted with a slight breeze. Which made it great to go on all the little trails to see the sights. The boys had a blast climbing up the huge boulders and finding caves and cracks to hide in. Later that day we found a picnic spot to eat lunch. Then after we saw all the things we wanted to see we headed for some Indian writings. When we finally found them it was really neat. I have no idea how they got so high to write on the rocks, or what they said. But we just made up our own stories to go with the pictures. After that we headed back to camp. Korey took the boys swimming once again while I made dinner. Then we hung out for the evening. The next morning it was raining like crazy. So we put the boys in the van turned on a movie while Korey & I took down camp. Then we went to Denny's to eat. It was a fast trip but it was a lot of fun. I love that my boys love to be outdoors and to be together. We had a great time just hanging out!

This is our camp site. Pepper was there to keep guard.

My Sister was nice enough to let us use her tent. It is so much bigger than ours.

The boys thought Balance Rock was so cool

We had a lot of fun walking up to the Window Arch. We took a different way down and the boys had a great time going all over the rocks.

That is my boys way up in the rocks

Christmas card photo time

They thought this little cave was cool

By the time we got to Delicate Arch we were all to tired to hike to it. So we just went to the different view points to take a look.

Here is just some pretty pictures of things we saw

I wish I knew what these things said

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

Preston is playing Baseball this year & it is so fun. I will be the first to admit that I was not that excited about it. I think Baseball has got to be one of the most gosh darn boring tings I have ever had to watch. But now that I have learned a few things and that it is my kid I am watching I have come to find a new respect for the game. I have really enjoyed watching him and his cousin play. The team gets better with each game & the boys have so much fun. He looks so handsome in his little uniform. I am so proud of him for sticking with it. Uncle Shane is his coach and they have had lots a practices and have two games a week. It takes a lot of his time and for the most part he does not complain. I hope he sticks with it and keeps playing. I know it would make his Dad and Korey's family so happy to have at least one of our kids play baseball.

Preston's Cousin Kaden is on the team too!

This is how the boys entertain themselves at the games

Ryan is playing Tball at the same time and it is fun to watch the little guy chasing the ball and running with all there might to get to the base. They swing so hard at the T and when they miss the ball they go spinning around. He loves it and has some good buddies on the team with him so he is having a fun time. I think it helps him feel good about himself having a sport that he is doing on his own.

He even has his own cheer squad!
