Goblin Valley
This year for Spring Break we took the boys & went down to Goblin Valley. We were suppose to go with my Sister's family but she got sick a few days before. So we snagged my Nephew Cameron & brought him with us. We thought we had a reservation & would get down there set up camp & just play & have a fun time. When we got there we had no such thing. At first we did not know what to do. But we sucked it up & drove down a dirt road until we found a place we thought would work for camping. Let me tell you something. We are not a family who "Dry Camps". I like my flushing toilets & running water. So we were a little nervous about this whole thing. But the place we found was perfect & the boys had a blast! So I guess that is all that matters. We had planned to stay 3 nights but we only lasted 2. On the 2nd day it decided to get rather windy & when we came back from our hike through the goblins every single thing we had brought was covered in an inch of sand. Everything in our tent which was zipped shut. Even things in our containers some how got sand inside. After a sleepless night of wind blowing and breathing in sand we had had enough and packed up went for another hike and left to come home. We still had a great time even though the weather did not want to work with us. My boys keep asking when we can go back. They loved climbing on everything.
