Santa Claus

We had a really fun Ward party this year. They had lots of fun things planned. But I think the thing the boys were the most excited about was to see Santa. Santa even brought he misses this year. My favorite part was the Hay Ride. This year Parker was really looking forward to seeing Santa. He really caught on to the whole "Christmas" thing. McKay was not amused that I made him get into the picture with Santa. But to bad that is why I am the Mom. I sure love my boys & think they are so cute!!!

Preston's 8th Birthday

Crazy to think that Preston is 8. We just hung out as a family on his actual Birthday. Korey was sick & Preston was having a friend party the next day. Then the next week was his Baptism & the whole family was coming to that. Later that night we drove out to Spanish Fork to see the Christmas lights. We drove around it 3 times. You would think after going this many years they would be sick of it. But no ever year they ask to go. I am so glad they do because I still love it too! I am so proud of Preston for all the good things he does & for how smart & talented he is. We love you Preston & I hope you had a great Birthday!!!





The next day Preston had a party with some of his Buddies from school. We took them to Nickel City to play games, lazer tag, & eat pizza. I think it was the greatest idea ever. The boys had a blast, were feed, got prizes, and I had to do nothing. I think this is the way I am doing parties from now on.

Before we had my huge family pictures taken we had just ours taken. We took them at the State Hospital & I like to think they turned out really cute!!! Thanks Amy for making look so good:)

Family Pictures

I have 4 brothers & 1 sister. Between us there are 23 grand kids, & 4 great grand kids, plus our spouses & the grand kids spouses. All together there are 42 of us. We have not all been together since I was pregnant with McKay & we were a lot smaller family then. We actually were able to get most of us together for Thanksgiving. We were only missing 4 people. My Niece, her Husband, there Daughter, & my Nephew. We figured that this would be a great opportunity to get a family picture done. Who knows when we will have that many of us all together. I am so glad my family was ok with this. It made my Mom & Dad so happy when they got there pictures for Christmas.

Halloween 2011

My boys were crazy this year about Halloween. The only one who made up there mind & then stuck with it was Ryan. Preston had a great idea but did not like the way the costume ended up looking last minute. Parker wanted to be hulk for forever & then after he dressed up for preschool he decided he did not like it & went with the monkey. McKay just threw something together last minute so he could come with us & get candy. Oh well in the end they looked cute & had a great day. They would have walked all night if we would have let them. We had a huge group of friends & family & had a great time. Happy Halloween!!!

School Parade

At my boys school they have a Halloween parade every year & the kids march around the school with there class showing off there cute costumes as the parents line the halls. It is always so much fun! I do have to say it was a little weird not to have McKay there. But Ryan & Preston looked great!

Parker's Preschool Concert

Parker goes to a great Preschool. It has helped him so much socially & academically. His teacher is amazing & so sweet. He really likes her a lot! The day before Halloween they had a little "concert". It was so fun to see him up thee singing songs & he even had a little speaking part that he did so great at! He had decided early on that for Halloween this year he wanted to be the Hulk. But the day of this little program he got nervous about the face paint so as you can tell by the pictures he has wiped a lot of it off. Oh well I still think he was the cutest kid there & the best looking Hulk ever!!!

It was fun to carve pumpkins with the boys! They always have an idea of what they want & they always turn out so cool. Good job boys they look great.

McKay's 1st Band Concert

McKay decided to take band this year & he decided that he would like to play the bassoon. Yes you read that right. I was like you & had to look up what a bassoon actually looked liked & sounded like. He thinks it is great as do I. If he keeps up with it I will be even more happy. I have heard there are not a lot of bassoon players & so colleges are always very generous to people who play it! There is only one other person who plays the bassoon in his whole Jr. High. I thought he was amazing at his concert. I have heard his parts many times & I could totally pick it out. Good job Son we are so very proud of you. Stick with it!

Camping

For Fall Break this year we took the boys up to Skyline Drive. My Sisters family has some friends that own land up there & they had parked there trailer & four wheelers there for the summer. They invited us up for the weekend. It was a lot of fun. I did not get a lot of pictures because we were having to much fun playing. But we did a lot of game playing & four wheeling, & even got some fishing in. They boys love to go camping & they seem to get along so well when we do. Parker at first did not like the wheelers, but by the end of the 1st day we had hard time keeping him off them. All & all it was a great weekend. Thanks for the invite Rutlands we hope you ask us again!
