Kindergarten Program

Preston's teacher this year did an end of the year program. They sang songs and even did a play. "The Little Red Hen" It was way cute & a fun program. Preston was not feeling great since earlier he had 2 teeth pulled. But he was a trooper and went and did his best. Here are a few highlights from the evening!

I am bummed that I did not get any shots of him during the play. He was one of three duck and his line was "Not I, quack, quack. I can tell from that line that he is a star in the making!

Look How Big We Got!

Whenever we go to the Zoo we always get a picture of the kids standing in front of the Gorilla. My Sister started it with here boys and I started it with McKay. I even have a picture of him barley able to sit and he is in front of the Gorilla. So here are the kids in front of it this year.

We Love The Zoo!

We did not do a whole heck of a lot during Spring Break. No money equals no fun! But we did make it to the Zoo. It was the perfect time of year to go. The weather was awesome, the animals were out & active. The best part the baby animals. Nothing is better than the zoo in the Spring time! We went up with my Brother & his family. The boys were great & had a blast. After the zoo we went and had lunch at Red Robin(YUMMM). When ever we say Red Robin the boys always have to throw in YUMMM. You know like the song! Good luck getting that commercial out of your head now. Well then we ran home changed our clothes & Korey & I took the boys to the Lehi pool. It is always fun in the winter when it is to cold for an outside one. All in all it was a busy, but fun day! Here are some of the high lights from the Zoo. I am bummed because I forgot to take the camera to the pool. Thanks Allen's for coming out and hanging with us for the day!

My favorite Animal of all is the Elephant! It was so neat to see a baby one. When we first went by she was sleeping.

We checked back a little later and she was up playing! So cute!!!

Easter Morning

We do not go all out for Easter & I think it is a nice way to try and remember the whole meaning of Easter and why we celebrate it. If we get to crazy with the whole Bunny and Egg thing it is hard to do that. It was great to have Conference the same weekend that seemed to keep the true meaning a little easier. It is also nice to have so much family time when it is a holiday. The boys loved all the little fun things that came in there baskets. I think the favorite of all 4 of them was the Perry the Platypus stuffed animal. We are huge P&F fans!!!

Craft Night

Every Priesthood session the boys and I get together with my in-laws and have dinner and do a craft. We always do such fun crafts. This year we got the kids wooden swords to paint while we painted our craft. They had a a lot of fun and made a crazy mess. It is hard for me to think that next April McKay will be gold enough to be going with Korey to the Priesthood session. My boys always have a great time with there Larsen Cousins. It was a great craft for my boys to make and now they play with the swords all the time & I got cute Easter craft out of it. Thanks guys for hanging out with us it was fun! We missed you Angie!

The Little Artists

Egg Hunts

I do not know why they call them Easter Egg Hunts. Because you know that the kids do not care about the eggs they just want the candy! For the past 4 years my SIL Molly's Step Mom Kim, Kimmy as my boys call her. Has been very nice and invited us to an hunt that she does. She is awesome and goes all out! My boys ask every year if we get to go. By the time we leave there is no reason for the Bunny to bring us any candy. Well this year she did it once again. I love watching them run around all crazy like and then at the end sit and trade and visit and just enjoy being together. Thanks again Kim it was fun!

Egg Coloring

I know I am way behind on post but I want these in here more for me than anything. So a few nights before Easter we colored some eggs. I am always surprised with how into it the boys get. They had a lot of fun and got really creative. I think my favorite part was Parker. He colored an egg and feel in LOVE with it. He was so sad when it was time for bed & he had to put it in the fridge. When he woke up in the morning it was the first thing he asked for. He called it "Eggy". He carried it every where that day. By the end of the day it was so cracked and soft! He had dropped it so many times and it sat in his basket so when we went to hunts he threw all his candy on it. Well as I was down loading the pictures off my camera he saw the picture of him with the egg. He said "Mommy I miss my Eggy". It is funny that he still remembers it! My Niece Eliza was in town over Easter weekend and she to got into the egg coloring.

Ant Hill

Ryan got an Ant Hill for Christmas. We ordered the Ants in March and they were mailed to us within a few days. It was crazy the little tube that so many Ants came in. I wish I would have taken photos of the hill after the Ants had dug all of the tunnels. It was cool how hard they worked and how little they needed to eat. They lived for about 6 weeks and when some started to die I told Ryan it was time to let them go and live outside. I did not want him to see them all die. He has been begging me to get more and I think I will. The boys spent a lot of time watching the little guys work and dig.

All Things McKay

I got a new camera for our Anniversary and I am now able to get pictures onto my computer without having to go to Costco, put them on a CD, come home and download them to my computer. I was able to use my old memory card for my new camera. So I am able to post the pictures that I have taken the past while. Come to find out I have been very bad at taking pictures lately. It is hard to be excited about taking pictures when your camera sucks. As I was going threw the picture I realized that most of the pictures are things McKay has done lately. He has been very busy. So I am dedicating this post my amazing Son McKay!

Back in February McKay was in a play at his school. All the kids did an awesome job and it turned out to be such a great production! Even though my Son did not have a major part I thought he was the star of the show! He had 3 parts. These are the picture of him in his Police Officer uniform. So cute:)






Then on March 23rd it was his Birthday and he turned 11. That is right I have a child who is 11. I feel so old! He did not want a huge party so he just invited some of his good buddies and we took them to see the movie "How to train your Dragon". It was an awesome show we all loved it. Then all he wanted was a fish tank & a Lego cake for his birthday. So we obliged and it has been a pretty cool gift. If only we could keep the fish alive!

So with McKay turning 11 he was advanced from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. If they did everything they were suppose to they not only get there scouting awards but they get "The Arrow Of Light". McKay is always so good about scouts he enjoys going and for the most part does not complain about having to do a little extra at home for his merit badges. They have a fun ceremony to welcome the boys who are advancing. Along with McKay there was two other boys who turned 11 at the same time. We are so proud of him for all his work.







This past week the 5th graders at McKay's school had a chance to be in the "Hope Of America". I thought it was a really neat performance and the kids did great. I have a few picture from it even though you cannot see McKay in them. I know he is there & that is all that matters.

We also just finished Soccer season. The day of McKay's last game is the day I got my new camera. So I was testing out while he was playing and got a couple of shots of him. I love to go and watch his team they are getting better each year. He has been with most of these boys since they were about 5. So it has been fun to watch them grow and get better. I am having mixed feelings about next year being his last year to play Rec Soccer. But he has no desire to play comp. So we will just have to see what happens.

McKay's Bio

We are very excited for this up coming weekend. For the past 2 months McKay has been practicing for a play that he is in at his School. He is a little bummed that he has no lines but he has some really fun parts. He actually has 3 parts in the play, he is a Police Officer, a Butler, and the sound man at the radio station. He has been such a trooper these past few months. But these last 2 weeks have been the hardest with the crazy schedule. They have had a lot of practices and he has missed out on a lot of playing with his friends. But I think over all he has really enjoyed it. We had to put together a Bio for the kids so that they could put them in the program. I do have to admit I had a little help with his. But I am glad I did because I LOVE it!! We are so proud of McKay and cannot wait to see him in action. If any of you would like to come it is this Friday at 7:30pm and Saturday at 2:00pm. We would love to see you all there!

McKay is an active young boy who is formally trained in Wii gaming, and has mastered the art of Lego's. In addition to his amazing abilities in these areas, he is now excelling in his many roles in Annie! It is particularly exciting because it's the first time in his life he's been encouraged to push people around, be in charge of the household, and make a lot of noise! He is the oldest of 4 boys and has missed his afternoons playing with all of his friends, but his mom reassures him that someday he'll wish he were always surrounded by "Little Girls"! His parents are proud of his hard work and excited to see him on stage!
