McKay's Big Day

On the Sunday after McKay's Birthday he was ordained a Deacon. I am so proud of him for the choices he has made in his life so that he could have this great opportunity. He had so much family there to support him. The Bishop asked if we could have it in his office. Then I told him how many people would be coming & we ended up in the multipurpose room. My family alone is over 20, then you add Korey's family, & then McKay's, Hatch side of the family & it gets to be a crazy amount of people that LOVE him. Korey gave him a very sweet blessing. It makes me so happy that my Husband can give our son's blessings. He is such a great example to the boys. After that we went to our house & had dinner. I think I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of people that were going to be in my little house. But when it was all said & done it worked out so great. Everyone was well feed & seemed to have a great time visiting. We love you McKay!!!

McKay is 12!!!

WOW!!! When did my sweet McKay grow up on me & turn 12? How is it that I have a child who is 12? I am still in denial that he is this old. But it happened & I am sure when he is 16, 17, 18, 19 & so on I will say the same things. His birthday this year was on Wednesday & those are crappy days at our house. Korey does not get home until after we are all in bed. But we made the best of it. I made him cupcakes & took them to his class at school. Then I took the boys out to dinner. McKay's choice was Sizzler of course. Then the next day he & his friends wanted to go to Jumpin Jacks. We also invited his cousins & we had a lot of fun. The kids worked up a good sweat & ran off lots of energy. Then on Friday he went on an over nighter with his good friend Seth to a cabin. They both said they had a great time. On Sunday he is was ordained a Deacon.(That is a whole post of its own.) So I like to say he had a birthweek instead of a birthday! Happy Birthday Son! We love you & are so proud of you & all the good choices you make. I hope you had a great Birthday?

Cups

My boys love the show Minute to Win it. We watch it every week together. They love to make up new games & to try the games they see on TV. The latest game they love is the cup one. They love to stack the cups and take them down as fast as they can. Then they make up new ways to stack the cups and take them down. Needless to say we go through a lot of plastic cups at our house. The other day Ryan was so proud of the stack he had made, it took him a long time to get this one to stay standing. He asked me to get the camera & to take a picture & then to post it on the blog. I love this kid!!!

Korey's 32nd Birthday!!!

Back at the end Of February Korey turned 32! I am a slacker & just getting around to posting about it. I like to think he had a great Birthday & everyone one of his wishes came true! All he wanted was a a Nook & Carrot Cake. So that is what he got. We have all loved the Nook. The kids love to read books on it. I like to get on the Internet when the boys are on the computer. Korey just loves everything about it. All & all it was a great purchase & has been used all the time. Korey's Mom got him a GPS & that too has been way fun. The kids ask anytime we get in the van if we can use it. Even if we are just going to Target or school. I am excited to go camping next week & take it along with us. I am hoping to take the boys Geo Cashing with it while we are gone!

Free Zoo Day

Through the months of November to February on the last Wednesday of the month the Hogle Zoo does a free day. I decided to be an awesome Mom & check the boys out of school early & go to the Zoo. When we got up there it was so busy. You would think only being 40 degrees that it would be a little cold for people to be hanging outside at the Zoo. But not in Utah that is like a heat wave here. The boys only wore hoodies & they were complaining that it was hot. It was a lot of fun & so nice not to have a huge stroller to fight through the crowds. The boys were so good & listened to me the time. Parker was so fun to watch he would get so excited about every animal. As we were walking out I was thinking to myself about all the money we saved & how much fun it was. Well we get out to the Van & what is on my window? A ticket, a parking ticket!!! Who gets a parking tickets? I can not even remember the last time I got a ticket, let alone I have never gotten a parking ticket. I was so mad & the boys could not help but laugh at me. Before I ruined our day I had to remind myself all the fun we had. Plus if you think about it the ticket was only $30 so I guess I still saved $30.

Sophie's Photo Shoot

I know I just did a post on our new sweet little puppy. But it is crazy how fast she is growing. I never thought I would like a little dog, let alone 2 dogs. But they are the best dogs ever. Sophie has such a fun little personality & she is so cute. I do hope she gets at least 5lbs she is a little to small & I worry about her getting stepped on & hurt. The other day I tried to take some pictures of her & she was so crazy. She so did not want to hold still. But I think out of the 50 pictures I took I got a few cute ones.

Valetine's Day Cookies

When I was little my Mom would make us giant Valentine's Day cookies every year. I decided that I would do the same thing. I do not think my kids need another holiday where they get a bunch of gifts. Besides Vday is for your special someone. But I do want my boys to know that I love them & that they are just as special to me as Korey is. I love that my boys know what I am doing for them too. On Valentine's Day morning Preston woke up & asked me if his "Pink, Heart Shaped Pancakes" were ready. Then when he was leaving for school he told me "I am excited to come home & eat my Giant Cookie!" So of course I had to follow through with what I have done in the past. All Korey got was a giant cookie too. His gift is combined with his Birthday gift that he gets next week.I was a little bummed I ran out of frosting so I could not put there names on them. But I think the boys loved them just the same. I hope everyone else had a great day full of LOVE too!!!

Preston's Box

Preston is in 1st grade & is loving ever minute of it. He has the best teacher ever & such fun nice kids in his class. I am so happy that he is happy at school. I was so nervous for him to be gone all day. He cried everyday of preschool & then for half the year of Kindergarten. So I had no idea how he would do in 1st grade. But man he has grown up so much & is just so smart & loving everything about school! I think 1st grade is so fun the kids are just so excited about learning & they always are doing such great things. His teacher had them make a valentine box at home. Of course Preston had to go all out for his box. I love the way it turned out & so did he!!!

Diana's 33rd Birthday

Oh my goodness I turned 33 this year!!! 33 years old!!! WOW!!! Who would have thought? It is hard for me to think of myself as that old. I swear sometimes I still feel like I should be in high school. It was a great Birthday I have the sweetest boys in the world & they are so good to me & love me so much! I could not imagine my life without Korey or our boys. They make me such a better person & bring me such happiness! Thanks for making my Birthday & everyday so great. The boys picked out this cake for me & after I blew out the candles they had me wear the tiara all night & even the next day! I love you guys!!!

Sophie

I got the most amazing, best, sweetest, cutest, tiniest little Birthday present ever. I was lucky enough to get it a week early too. Meet the newest member of the Larsen Family. This is Sophie & I love her! What is not to love with this sweet little thing?
