McCall

Back at the first of August the boys and I went to Twin Falls Idaho to go to the blessing of my Great Nephew Seth. We got a hotel after the blessing and BBQ and spent the night playing at the pool. Then the next morning we were suppose to go home but we decided that we were already this close we might as well just keep going and go up to McCall and spend a few days at my brothers house and hang out at the lake with all my family up there. So that is what we did!!! On the way up we stopped at a fish hatchery and saw some cool fish. Then we stopped in Boise and got some dinner with my BFF Stephanie. Before we headed up the canyon we had to stop and buy some mice for my brothers python & then get some clothes for the boys and a charger for my phone. We were so not prepared to be staying a few days. But we made it work and we finally made up the canyon and my sweet SIL had made up there trailer for us to stay in. It was nice to have a place of our own to crash. The next day we hung out at the beach all day and just played. The kids love spending time with there cousins & they have a canoe and kyake. Then we went to dinner at little pizza place in town. The day after that we drove around saw some sights and visited with family. Then later that day drove back to Boise to spend the evening with my Niece and her family. Oh how sweet her baby is I could have spent a few days there just holding that kid. So the next morning we woke up and started the long drive home. I was so proud of myself for doing this I never go places without Korey let alone drive this far by myself. I always say if it is not in my 5 mile radios I do not need to go there. It was a lot of fun and the boys were great. McKay was such a huge help in and out of the car & it was fun to just hang out with them. I only took a few pictures because we were so busy having fun. These are from the lake, it is so pretty there. I hope we next time we go Korey can come with us!!! Thanks for letting us go Babe we missed you a lot!

Stake Activity

A few hours after we got back from our camping trip our ward had a stake activity. I guess we are the oldest stake in Orem. So for the 80th year anniversary they had a party. My kids had a lot of fun. They had dinner and mutton riding a huge slip-n-slide, snow cones, popcorn, and lots of fun little games for kids to play, and some great entertainment. Over all it was a fun night. I thought it was so brave of my boys to do the mutton riding that I had to post pictures. Good Job Boys!!!! Next year they will be winning the Strawberry Day's Rodeo in PG.

Preston staying on with such SKILL!!!

Ryan did not last long enough to get a picture, but look at him fall with style!!!

Even my Niece Macy braved the big Mutton, but she too did not last long enough for the camera!!!

Here are some pictures from the big slip-n-slide & bounce house! The boys thought they were so cool doing flips down the slide!!!

I could not get this dang picture to flip:(

Camping With The Larsen's

We got a fun chance to go camping with Korey's family up to Wasatch State Park. We drove up the weekend before and staked out a great camp site. Then the next Thursday we left to go up to hang out for a few days. We had a great spot with lots of shade and fun places for the kids to chase each other and play. The morning after we got there we went for a really neat hike up to what they called a rock wash. To me it looked like a river should have been there, but instead it was a lot of rocks and they were huge rocks. The boys had a lot of fun climbing all over them. Then later that night we went fishing over at the pond. We did not catch anything but the boys had a lot of fun trying. It is so much more fun to go camping this year than last. The boys all sleep through the night and just have fun hanging out with each other and getting really dirty. I hope that we at least get one more chance to go this year before it gets to cold. Thanks everyone for coming up with us it makes it a lot more fun when you have family there to hang out with.

This is on our hike up to the wash we stopped at a stream to cool off for a while.

The boys having fun on the rocks.

We decided it was a great back ground for some fun group pictures!!!

Parker's 2nd Birthday

So it is Parker's birthday & my baby is 2!!! I cannot believe that he is already 2. Where does time go? He is such a crazy kid & so full of life. I do not know where he comes up with half the things he does or say. He is definitely our wild child he causes a lot of trouble. But I guess that is what you get from being the youngest of four boys. He can hold his own ground that is for sure. He has a great day to have a birthday. Since we are in Utah it is a holiday the day before & we get to have fireworks so after we had a little cake, ice cream & present opening we did some fire works. This is the 3rd time this summer that he has seen them and he is starting to like them. We think he had a fun day & loved his presents. He is VERY into action figures and does not like any kind of baby toy. So for his present we got him a batman castle and a bike. Will he thinks the bike is OK but is so crazy about his castle. Once he opened that he wanted nothing else to do with any other presents. Now anytime we go any where he says "Momma, go home, go home and play with my batman & my castle."
A few days before his birthday I took him to the store to pick out a cake pan. I had looked on line for a while to try and find a Batman pan, but of course they do not make them any more and people wanted crazy amounts of money for an old used cake pan. So when we got to the store he picked out a Monkey pan. Then he saw some cool Pirate cupcake holders. I swear does this kid not know the concept of a theme. Well then on his birthday I took him to get some balloons and he picked out a Spider man balloon. This kid was killing my need to have things the same, but since it is his day I let him choose. So over all I hope he had a great day. We love you so much Parker, I could not imagine life without you around. When you are not being the wild monkey man that you usually are you give the best hugs and kisses. I love it when you wake up in the morning and say "Hold you Momma, hold you." It melts my heart and all I want to do is to hold you! Happy Birthday:)

Parker 3 days old:)

The Monkey cake

He was very happy with his cake

Fireworks in honor of him!!! How many kids can say they get that for their B-day?

Watching the exciting event!!!

4 Wheeling

We were invited by my Sister's family to go 4 Wheeling with them & both Korey and I were not to sure how it was going to turn out. But we both had a lot of fun and boys loved it. As soon as we got there Preston was all ready to get on one. So he took off with Cameron and had a blast. It took a little more coaxing for Ryan to enjoy it. I got him to sit on it, then I got him to put the helmet on, then I moved a little. He was freaking out. So we went back then when Korey got back he decided to go with him and was hooked too. Parker we took just around in a circle and as long as you were not going to fast he liked it. It was funny when McKay got home from his trip he was more mad about missing this then he was about missing lagoon. My BIL was so glad to hear that. Anyway it was a lot of fun and the boys keep talking about wanting to go again. Thank You again Rutland's!!! Also thank you Strickland's for letting us use your helmets. I did actually remember to take pictures this time and her are a few for you to enjoy!

IT'S WHAT FUN IS!!!

So last week we had a chance to go to Lagoon with Korey's family. All thanks to Grandma Kathy:) I took the boys up and then Korey meet us around lunch time. At first I was a little disappointed in Ryan and Parker. They were being little terrors and not loving any of the rides. Me being the mean Mom that I am forced them to go on the rides kicking and screaming the whole time. Ryan after would say " Oh Mom that was not that bad I liked it". I was so bugged. Parker was not happy before, during, or after. It was not until right before the park was about to close that we found a ride Parker loved and then he would not get off it. Poor Preston loved everything and was so mad because he was not able to go on all the big rides. I was very proud of myself because I went on the ride "Wicked" the name says it all. It was a crazy ride. I think I almost peed my pants I was so scared. But after it was all said and done it was a way fun ride. I felt guilty that McKay was not there to enjoy the day with us. So after he returned from his trip I was able to get a sitter for the 2 little boys and McKay, Preston, Angie, & I went back on the bounce back tickets. It was so fun we just went non-stop all day. We kind of cheated and had Preston wear his church shoes and then he was able to go on a lot more rides this time. He was so very brave and went on some way big rides. McKay was great too & he went on every single ride, & loved them all! I am sad to say that it was more fun without the 2 little boys and it was a great time to just hang with the other 2 boys. I once again forgot to take my camera the 2nd time but I did get some fun shots the first time around. Thanks again Kathy it was way fun. Thank you Jason & Molly for watching the boys so we could go without them!!! I hope next year will even be better:)

Fish Lake 2009

We love to go camping & this year at Fish Lake it was so much fun! It is amazing how much easier things are getting now that the boys are getting bigger. There was no getting up and trying to make a bottle, or trying to keep a baby quiet in the middle of night. They feel asleep so early each night because they were so tired from running nonstop all day. We all had a great time! The boys loved and cannot wait until we get to go again. While we were there Grandpa Jon brought his boat and the boys each got to fish a lot. In total we caught 18 fish. The 2nd night we were there we had to eat the fish for dinner so that we could go out and catch some more the next day! I was a horrible Mom and did not bring my camera, but my Brother in Law snagged a few cute pictures of the boys. I just wish I would have had some of them with the fish they each caught. They were so proud!!! They also caught a lot of squirrels while we were there. I will have to copies of his pictures and post them. There cousin Cameron brought stuff to make a trap and they would set them around camp, catch one, and then release it, and do it all over again. Parker loved being able to be dirty and run around like the crazy kid he is! It was a great trip!!! Thanks everyone who came and made it so much fun.

Our House

I was going to Title this post as "before & after", But I cannot find any before pictures of our house. Which I am really bugged at myself for not taking any pictures before. But if you read HERE you can at least see what the back yard looked like when we moved in and I think in some of the pictures you can see the paint color our house use to be. The lady we bought the house from swore that it was tan. I think now it is tan. Any way we are way happy with the color and the windows. I cannot believe what a difference windows make. Our house does not get as hot as it use too. All the noise from the construction is not as bad too. It is also so nice to be able to open the windows without all the flies coming in. I think the only one complaining is the cat because now she cannot get out whenever she wants. Also it sucks if we leave the keys in the house. Before none of our windows locked so I would throw one of the boys in a window whenever we locked ourselves out. I cannot wait to see what we are going to do to the house next summer!!!
